Eastern Star Holds Installation Ceremonies in Corry
Corry City Chapter No 17 Order of the Eastern Star held installation ceremonies at the Masonic Temple on North Center street. Mrs Lynette Brown was installed as worthy matron with Miss Nancy J Acker installing officers for 1974 1975. Also, a bridal shower for Miss Sue Myers of Erie was held at the home of Mrs Richard Ohrn. The Ladies Aid of West Spring Creek met at Mrs Howard Johnson to make bandages for the American Leprosy Mission and raised 49 dollars.

Guests attend parade chairs and hospitality trailer events with YMCA tours and church missions. A babysitting service operates during the centennial weekend while community groups prepare visits to Eli Creek Grange and Perry’s Inn activities.

Rebecca Briggs Weds Terry Chapman in Bear Lake Church Ceremony
Rebecca Jean Briggs and Terry G. Chapman exchanged vows at Loltsville United Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Ernest Bolling. The couple, from Bear Lake area families, celebrated with a 250 guest reception at Youngsville firehall and plan to reside in Bear Lake RD 1. The bride, a 1971 Youngsville High School graduate, wore an organza gown with Venise lace and carried a mixed bouquet. groom’s party included ushers and bridesmaids in nile green and maize. Out-of-town guests came from Ohio New York and Erie. The couple honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains Penn Hills resort.
