Corry Evening Journal Board Fixes 1934 Tax Rate

The Corry school board set the 1934 tax rate at 17 mills and adopted a budget of 122,972 dollars, about 2,000 less than this year. The 7-mill levy is higher than 1933 but reduces assessed valuations to yield similar revenue, with a projected small saving for many property owners. The meeting approved details on salaries, textbooks, and capital outlay, and adjourned to finalize with the tax collector.
