Congress Moves to End Military Double-Dipping
A House subcommittee advanced a bill to bar retired military personnel from collecting pensions while holding civilian government jobs. The rule would apply to 141,000 retirees already on the federal payroll and require new hires after Oct 1 to renounce retirement pay during government employment.
