Two Trucks and Car Crash Near Westfield
A three vehicle crash about three miles east of Westfield on Route 20 involved two loaded trucks and a car. The operator, Minford Sansmued Ae, suffered a Draken teg and scalp wounds while passenger Arthur Munson, 62, had facial cuts and a toe injury. The car was wrecked. trucks belonged to Haimert Trucking of Buffalo and were insured by Melvin Schrock of Williamsville.

Erie Tug Engineer Drowns Near Dock
Harry W. Austin, 89, longtime engineer of the tug Ideal, fell from a dock near the Erie Sand and Gravel Company dock in Prevave Isle Bay and drowned. Coroner W. G. Shhrabel reported the accident occurred last night as the visiting tug was alongside the dock.

Death of Mrs. Albert Squires in Corry
Mrs Lottie May Squires wife of Albert Squires died at her home 600 West Washington Street last evening at 9 45. She had lived in Wayne township most of her life and resided here forty years. Surviving are her husband daughter Miss Mable Squires a niece Miss Frances Baxter and a nephew W L Eastman. Funeral arrangements from Daybnan Funeral Home with services at the home Thursday at 2 30 burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The Bismarck was attacked by British ships at dawn and, after taking torpedoes, sank in the open sea. Reported that pursuit by battleships and a bomber attack followed, with uncertainty over exact bombardment results.
