Mumbulo May Escape Trial in Child's Death
May 27. Ralph Mumbulo, jailed in the county prison, may avoid trial for his daughter Hilda’s death as a new trial motion for his wife Edna is pending. The state’s case hinges on scant circumstantial evidence and a ruling on the motion could require his presence. Mrs. Edna Mumbulo, 38, faces a 10 to 20 year penitentiary sentence after her conviction tied to the child’s death.
