Beer licensee is sentenced in Meadville case
Judge Herbert yesterday sentenced William J. Miller of R D 2 Titusville for selling beer to minors. Miller, a distributor with a warehouse in East Titusville, pleaded no defense and was fined 200 dollars plus costs. in default he must serve 10 days in county prison. Judge Mook praised Titusville for juvenile delinquency efforts and noted this case as a setback. Twenty-two other defendants were sentenced, with nine others including Earl McCammon of Titusville.

Yeggs Break Into Two Erie Schools Over Weekend
Police reported two Erie schools East High and Roosevelt Junior High were burglarized over the weekend with safes opened and only 80 to 60 cents taken. A separate break in at the Hazar Club yielded nickels from multiple machines. Det Inspector Al Skowleczka said locks were knocked off and doors opened. The only cash taken from East High was a little more than a half dollar.
