Gas pipeline hearings seen delaying western gas supply
Washington May 25 A three recess in reopened hearings on the Ohio area gas supply problem slows progress toward new supplies for western Pennsylvania and New York for 1950-51. Tennessee Gas Transmission President Gardiner Symonds expects gas into western Pennsylvania by late 1950 if authorization arrives by late June, but rapid progress is unlikely as cross examination begins after June 13. The Buffalo line team already has about 100 workers ready, though payroll timing may push work into July.
