A separate noninjury incident occurred when a truck loaded with cement blocks shed material onto an oncoming car driven by A Frederick Treher 59 of Easton Pa. No injuries. Church leader Anastasiy Gribanovsky 92 former leader of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia died in Manhattan from pneumonia.
The Supreme Court 8 0 rules that the 1962 act authorizing the Post Office to hold or destroy Communist abroad mail is unconstitutional. Justice William O. Douglas delivered the decision with Justice Byron R. White not participating. The ruling cites conflict with First Amendment rights and the requirement that recipients request delivery in writing.
