Finkelstein Seeks One Year For Grand Larceny
Irving Finkelstein, 26, over six feet tall and weighing about 800 pounds, told Justice George W Cole he would sentence himself to one year in jail if he were in the judge's place. He admitted stealing nearly $700 from the People's Store safe in Jamestown and asked for leniency. The court deferred sentence after hearing his plea and noted prior incidents of bad checks.
