Weighing club chances in three no trump bridge
In a three no trump contract with East as dealer and heart lead, the declarer weighs two club-playing plans. Cashing A Q of clubs first yields about 54 percent to make, while overtaking the queen with the king and then continuing improves to roughly 67 percent by maintaining additional chances from 33 breaks and certain Jack distributions.
