The Corry Nurses Alumni will host a general meeting and round table on request of members. A buffet luncheon will follow at Mrs John Machines home located at 0 West Frederick Street.
In Erie on May 24 a fire start at the old Erie Car Works plant was blocked by a passing watchman and nurses at liberty urged to attend a district nurses meeting. Police seek four men about 30 years old linked to the incident. Thomas Ledden, deputy fire marshal, aids inquiry. Nearby Bradford saw a bold purse snatching on Congress Street at 9:30 PM Friday. the bandit fled with the bag after failing to grab it.
Funeral services for the late N. E. Dewey were conducted Friday at 2 from the family residence in Columbus with Rev. E. B. Morris officiating. The service drew many relatives and friends from Corry and nearby areas.
