Youth Kills His Mother and Wounds Employer in Pittsburgh
In Pittsburgh on May 22 Francs Curley Brodman, 21, fatally shot his mother Mary Brodaman Neelis, 37, and critically wounded Paul Lustig, 18, a county court reporter, in a North Side three room apartment. Lustig was hospitalized in serious condition. The suspect, son of Neelis from a previous marriage, fled with his grandmother to Shank Hotel in Washington Pa. Neelis kept house for Lustig at the time of the shooting. Neelis daughter and Lustig were shot after neighbors heard two then three shots shortly after 2 a.m. Police believed the shootings occurred in the front room with no blood in the rear area.
