Richmond Virginia May 22 Air mail pilot Ward J Morrissey age 88 was killed when his plane nosedived during takeoff for the New York Atlantic route after reporting engine trouble He tried to return to the field but his motor stopped and he was pinned beneath the wreckage the crash occurred near the airfield on the return flight from New York and Atlantic routes to Richmond.

Fuuon rianmen, 24, of this ay found guiity of robbery in the hold-up of Frank Sawyer near here weeks ago. Judge William E. Hirt at Rice sentenced him to pay a fee of 10 and costs and serve nine months in the Allegheny county workhouse. Hope Fades For Miner Survivors In Pennsylvania Blast
Mather Pa May 2 rescue work at the explosion site progressed as bodies recovered rose to twenty. The last victims brought to surface at 12 80 pm, with 210 men believed in mine at time of blast.
