Nixon to Spend Most Education Fund on Integration
Washington AP reports President Nixon will allocate about two thirds of a 600 million education fund to desegregation efforts in the coming academic year, with a formula counting minority students twice in districts undergoing integration. The plan reserves one third for experimental integration projects and sets a 100000 minimum to each state, encouraging districts without plans to pursue mixed activities.
