THESE WOMEN By Adelaide Kerr On World War Fronts

Eve Curie reports from Russia and the eastern war fronts with praise for Allied efforts. She visited Egypt, Libya, the Levant, Iran, India, Burma, and China and returned to New York with optimism about American leadership, unity, and wartime mobilization. She notes Russian strength, British aid, and ongoing needs across many theatres. A parade of wartime roles by women follows, from Norwegian and Czech operatives to Soviet freighter captains and Australian dispatch riders, alongside social notes of visits from Warrelief figures and local arrivals.
