The First United Methodist Church held its annual mother and daughter banquet at Fellowship Hall with a Bicentennial Pattern for Living theme. Anita Hammond served as reader. Kim, Pam, and Gretchen Bossert won the mothers toast. daughters toast was by Mrs. Barry Bossert.

Corry Bridge Club Highlights and Winners at YMCA Howell Session
Members and guests of the Corry Afternoon Bridge Club played five and one half tables in a Howell session at the YMCA. Winners included Mrs. Lloyd Stowe and Mrs. Richard Muckinhaupt tied with FH Bartholme and George Michael of Union City for 60 percent, and other high scorers Mrs. William Master Jr and Mrs. John Pierce 54 percent, Mrs. Vee Lindsey and Mrs. Paul Stroup 63 percent, and Mrs. Arthur Hansen with Mrs. TH Treat tied with Mrs. James Cole and Mrs. Sarah Davidson at 52 percent. A spring luncheon and open pairs game are planned next week with reservations requested.

Spanish Club Hosts Annual Spring Dinner at Corry HS
Members and guests of the Spanish Club at Corry Area High School enjoyed a spring dinner in the cafeteria hosted by teacher Mrs. Minna Stahl. The menu featured Spanish and Mexican dishes, officers presented a plant to Mrs. Stahl, and a traditional piñata broke up the evening with a white elephant sale planned afterward.
Mentor Club Meeting At Warren Home
Fourteen members gathered Monday at Joyce McChesney’s Warren home for the Mentor Club business session presided by Jolley. Helen Rowe was named new president and Naomi Johnson was appointed to head the Newer fund for the next term. A summer picnic is planned for August 28 at 12 noon at Joyce McChesney’s Hyer road Spring Creek.
