Mother and Daughter Banquet Enjoyed at Church
The annual Mother and Daughter Banquet at Columbus Community United Church of Christ drew 125 attendees. Edith Miller gave the welcome and reading, with prayers by Emory Morton and singing led by Leonard Edwards. A toast to mothers was by Anita Curtis, to daughters by Harold Curtis, musical by Kara Burress, and a grandmother toast by Lynn Schaeffer. Becky Damon and Mary Jean Merkle performed a duet while awards went to multiple individuals including Perry Mead and Charlene Swarm. Special thanks were given to Mrs. Robert Damon and decorating and kitchen committees.

Wheelock Church Hosts Annual Mother and Daughter Banquet
Thirty seven members and guests of the Wheelock Community Church enjoyed the annual mother and daughter banquet at the church on Wednesday evening. The dinner committee included Mrs Leland Crosscut Mrs Orlo Watrous and Mrs Laura Williams. The table committee was headed by Mrs Dennis Edwards Mrs Allan May and Mrs Harold Dougherty. Mrs Hubert Watrous Mrs Raymond Hamilton and Mrs James Crosscut were in charge of the program. Mrs Wallace Mick toastmistress gave the welcome and Mrs Dougherty gave the invocation. The mothers credence was given by Mrs James Crosscut the tribute to mothers by Miss Gayle Dougherty and To My Daughters by Mrs Raymond Hamilton. An entertaining program was presented Voices of Love a singing group. Candles and floral centerpieces decorated the tables and each guest was presented with a corsage.
