Jap Airdrome at Myitkyina Taken by Stilwell Forces

Allied forces under Gen Stilwell and Chinese troops captured the Myitkyina airdrome and the surrounding rail terminus in northern Burma. Seventy-Eight Men Reported for Army Examinations

Seventy-eight men from the Conry and Union City Grade district reported to the Selective Service office at Upton City this morning for processing at the induction center on a Pennsy train. The initial list showed 89, with changes in draft rules and exemptions reducing counts. Those accepted today will be rated in the district reserve. a pre-induction order for the month of dime Inox has been received, likely tapering draft calls. Break at Danville Hospital leaves questions on suspect

Danville Pa May 15 Robert Sethler 19 was admitted to a hospital today and police seek to locate George Brewster 96 who fled with Sethler yesterday and may have drowned or fled. Sethler described Brewster jumping into a stream to escape guards and drown. Brewster had been moved from Huntingdon reformatory. Sethler from Lewisburg. John Mitchell, sixth escapee, remains at large. Five others were captured.
