Doctors Shun Medicaid Over 20 Percent Fee Cut Protest
In Jamestown, the Chautauqua County Medical Society voted to withhold participation in New York State Medicaid protesting a 20 percent fee reduction effective June 1. Dr. Glenn M. Ebersole said the unanimous resolution urges area doctors to boycott Medicaid, citing unjustified cuts and discriminatory impact on health services. The group plans not to suspend care during the fall and notes no reform to the law or pay increase has occurred. Locusts in Borneo cause heavy damage in Waringin District South Kalimantan.
