County and Erie council near 7200 annual to hire Dr Shubert

County Solicitor Lindley McClelland and Erie City Solicitor Gerald Weber agreed yesterday to a joint plan for paying 7200 annually to hire Dr Felix Shubert as part time county medical director. Shubert seeks 16000, but the two sides have offered 14138 to date, with a 90 day notice termination. Bids on county projects were postponed to May 24 to allow law compliance and to accommodate many bidders. Local life events include marriage license filings in Erie and Corry, a guilty plea in a theft case, school readiness tests for entering first grade, and various municipal finances and police reports.
