START WORK AT MESTOWN ON NEW BOAT PLANT
Jamestown, May 17. Surveying completed for a new Chrbs Craft plant to employ about 60 workers. Located east of Falconer near Warren Ross Lumber yards, the facility aims to open by August as the fourth Chrbs Craft motor boats plant. The company, based in Algonne Michigan, is the world’s largest motor boat maker with plants in Holland and Grand Rapids and Cadillac. Chief engineer A. W. Mackerer says初 preliminary plans call for a 500 by 161 feet building with 85,000 square feet of space and expansion possible with permits.
