Corry Area Joint School Board to vote on jointure budget
The six member Corry Area School Jointure will meet Monday night in the high school library to pass or reject the 1970-71 jointure budget, which totalled 442 and is expected to pass. After district boards meet, all 32 members will vote as a single body. The budget reflects higher salaries and costs, though Corry reduced property tax by three mills. Wayne Township cut five mills, while Concord Township and Elgin Borough held steady and Spring Creek plus Columbus raised taxes. The sole business is voting on the budget and appointing a jointure treasurer from district treasurers. Corry plans to nominate Jene Howard.
