Eight youths indicted for school fire in Cleveland
In Cleveland eight youths, including two 13 year old girls, were adjudged delinquent for part in a 250000 fire damaging Giddings Elementary School in a predominantly Negro neighborhood. Six were sentenced to the Ohio Youth Commission by Judge Walter G Whitlatch. two received suspended sentences and probation.

Union City School Tax Jumps 4 Mills
Union City Area School Board adopted a budget of 1 091 742 dollars and raised the borough tax millage by four mills from 58 to 62. Union Township also increased four mills while Bloomfield Township has not set its millage yet. The board plans a special meeting tomorrow to finalize millage. Resignations of two teachers were accepted. Marion Greishaw elected treasurer and Thomas Monahan named school accountant for the 1986 87 accounts. The borough millage rise aimed to cover operating costs with state funds aiding school use in the Union City area.
