Town Topics Amely wedding tale mocks male roles
Charles Stafford presents a humorous feature on wedding rituals seen through male sightlines. A groom in gold lamé and eight attendants march to a River Kwai spoof while a plain navy bride and her companion wear matching navy gowns. The piece blends satire with real notices of an engagement and a Tulip Festival parade lineup in Clymer New York, detailing plans for a June wedding and a May 1 parade with numerous floats and community groups.
