Diversion of Motor Funds Questioned in Harrisburg
Harrisburg May 15 A statement from W Purves secretary of Associated Petroleum Industries of Pennsylvania says legislation pending in the general assembly would protect 28 million dollars in gasoline tax revenues from diversion to the general fund in the next biennium. He notes the emergency tax re enactment is likely and necessary while highway users back bills to prevent diversion to non highway uses. There is no conflict between re enactment and a constitutional amendment proposal.
