Three Killed in Auto Crash near Amsterdam
In Titich New York on May 15 three auto passengers from Fultonville and Amsterdam were instantly dead when their car collided with a locomotive at Roast Bridge. Fred van Wie, Harold Harvey, and Miss Jute Billington died instantly. Miss Gertrude Jones and Mrs. Van Wie were severely or mortally injured, with Miss Billington caught under the locomotive and mangled beyond recognition. The victims included four young adults traveling eastward. the wreck occurred as the auto overturned at 40 miles per hour, scattering bodies along the track.
