Polio Patient at Lakeview Hospital is Ninth this Year
A 48 year old Hays man employed by Erle Manufacturing Co. is in fair condition at Lakeview Hospital after being admitted Tuesday for polio treatment. Dr. Felix Shubert says he is the oldest polio patient treated there this year, the ninth admission to the hospital so far.

Three Men Charged With Lottery Conspiracy Near Connellsville
State Police arrested Albert J. Pellish 41 of Connellsville Freder ek Laper 45 of Hopwood and Richard Johnson 93 of Clarksville on a lone back road near Connellsville and charged them with lottery and conspiracy. Alderman Mickey Kinecht is scheduled May 14 to hear George Purcell in a case involving an alleged assault and battery. Edward Noziella, 70, claims Purcell struck him with a hammer handle, causing forehead injuries. Bud Bell received a three year probation for burglary at a Pennzoil gas station on 940 Buffalo Road, Erie, in a case before Judge Samuel J. Roberts.
