Two Pinchot Party Members Hurt in Highway Crash
Two Clear County members of the Pinchot party escort were badly injured when their automobile collided with a culvert on the Buffalo Pittsburgh Highway near Lanes Mills six miles north of DuBois at 8 45 Friday afternoon. Rev Jol Golden 33 of Sagic Run had his jaw crushed and his face lacerated while W A Laith 40 of Hawk Run suffered facial lacerations.

2000 Gallon Still Seized At Falconer Jamestown
The Falconer police and Jamestown federal agents uncovered a 2000 gallon still on West Main Street near South Dow. A rambling building contained a 200 gallon still bound with a 12 foot column and a 200 gallon condenser, plus oils, sugar, and corn sugar used for liquor production. Chief Holcomb called it the most elaborate still seen in months and worth several hundred dollars.

Fire at Straneva home and barn in Kane under investigation
Fire at Paul Straneva residence and barn in Wetmore Kane county Saturday night is suspected arson. The barn burned fully, house partially burned with oil sealed cloth found inside corners and walls. Straneva, last seen minutes before discovery, is missing. Estimated loss around $4,000 insured.
