May term opens as RH county court convenes in Bele
The May term of RH county criminal court opened at Bele this morning with about seven cases listed to come before the judges. Ray Sonne of Tidusville, exonerated this week by the grand jury in the Edward Briggs death case, is likely to be held over until September. The case was returned to the grant jury after a non true bill was returned. Mistrial Attorney Herbst notes all evidence may not have been submitted. Several Corry cases appear in the calendar, including May Gales charged with hiding goods to escape a levy, set for trial this afternoon at 1380 Block. She was arrested after fleeing from J. B. Patterson’s apartments on Mast Main street while behind in rent for months. Duane Ols and Willard Olds are set for trial Tuesday May 14 at 1:30 on larceny and bad checks respectively.
