School Board Held Session Last Evening
An important meeting of the Board of Education was held last evening. Directors Loveland Harlow Whittlesey and Mr Auer were prominent. The Finance committee reported estimated district expenses for the year beginning July 1 and available resources. Total expenses 44877.78 to be balanced by an 18 mill tax on valuation 2 305 018 producing. State appropriation 940.70 foreign tuition 1900.00 balance in treasury July 1 7305.88. On motion the report was adopted and the tax levy set 16 mills on the assessed valuation for two purposes one mill for sinking fund one for building and ten for general school purposes. Mrs Euni A Dea re elected Librarian for year June 1 to September 30.
