A former Ohio Penitentiary convict, Himer Berry, 26, of Portsmouth, held by police near Girard Pa, confessed to killing Burton Lepley, 97, at an Eye county farm eight miles west of here. Robbery motive cited. a gun taken from Judge William Hirt’s home was used. Lepley was from Cherrytres township and is brother to Mrs. Laverne Delean of Spring Creek.
