Warren Co damage suit settled in May term
A second damage suit settled in the May Term of the Court of Common Pleas. Marian Baker of Mead township sued James W. McWilliams of Tiona for injuries from a truck incident. The compromise awarded Miss Baker 1200 and Archie Baker 900 payable to the plaintiffs, with the jury instructed to find for the plaintiff in those amounts.

Frank Weary Oil City Theatre Man Dies
Frank Weary aged 41, assistant manager of the Drake Theatre and lifelong Oil City resident, died at Oil City Hospital Tuesday morning from a paralytic stroke. He suffered a stroke at the theatre Sunday noon, was paralyzed on the left side, and died despite efforts to save him. He had been in good health otherwise though his blood pressure had been high.

Erie Slayer Pleads Guilty Manslaughter
A man identified as Arie May T-Stanley Wemcinsies, 42, confessed slayer of Leo Leihert, 27, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Erie. District Attorney Mortimer B. Graham said the murder charge was reduced to manslaughter to speed trial and save county costs. The defendant, who has lived in Wellsville for thirteen years, is survived by his wife Anna Johnson Erie gon and two daughters Lena and Rhee.
