Corry Vounoll of Golumone will hold the second of seven dance portions in the club rooms tonight. All members and their friends are cordially invited to attend. Corry's Artful Trio will furnish the music.
The Latties Auxiliary of Corry plans a Tag Day sale across the city to raise funds for the hospital. Proceeds from tag sales at Blue Bird Restaurant and other outlets will support the Corry institution, with volunteers collecting donations throughout the day.
A fine music week recital featured pianist Robert Braun with soprano Miss Waller in a varied program at the auditorium. Braun demonstrated his technique in Rachmaninoff and Godowsky as Waller offered captivating vocal numbers. Applause was wide and generous as the concert closed with additional pieces by Braun and Waller.
About two hundred invitations for a peng party were issued by the Modern Dames Club at their regular meeting. It will be held in Maccabee Fall Wesliesday evening May 1ath at the home of Mrs. B. Kidg on Pleasant Atrest. Visiting and other diversions made a pleasant evening and refreshments were served.
Harrisburg May 9 The board of directors of a public school system may not excuse pupils from religious instruction hours in denominal schools to attend as the deputy attorney general J W Brown states. The opinion replies to Dr J George Becht superintendent of public instruction and cites that the school code forbids religious instruction.
The Corry Building and Loan Association is formed with officers named A L Doster president, Manley vice president, York treasurer, Jones secretary, and Peake solicitor. Shares are $100 par, authorized capital $1,000,000, deposits earn fixed interest, loans only on first mortgages, proposal backed by Washburn of Alton, aiming to provide safe savings and home loans.
Mrs Wesley Ober, 14, died Thursday afternoon at 1 45 after a four day illness at home on White Street. Survived by husband and two children Walter and Bathe, her mother Mrs Miller of Union City, and several relatives including Edmund Rhoden Corry and brothers Ray Pound and Paul Bound. Funeral arrangements to be announced.

Hagerstown May 9 six people, William Miller, his wife and four children, were swept to death by Hood waters on North Mountain. Pittsburgh reports a flood warning after two hours of rainfall floodwaters affecting the Allegheny Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers.
In a special session the City Commission approved final sending ordinances for intensive sewer construction in the Third Ward including Eagle street, with execution ten days after final passage. Bids are hoped to be opened late this month or at the June meeting. The ordinances cover Kaylé Tiglavwar Essex Marion West Wash Wietan and Worth streets as part of a major city project with many bidders expected.
Police authorities ban the posting of bills and advertising cards on telephone and telegraph poles. Chief of Police Dunks warns arrests will follow the practice. Citizens and pole owners supported the ban to reduce hazards from pole advertisements and improve civic cleanliness.

My and Mrs Henry Kennedy returned this afternoon from a four visit at Jamestown New York. Mew Truman Smith and daughter Daris of Sherman NY along with Mew Moga Meryarlcky and Mrs Leon Tenkuisen and non Beverett of Clymer were visiting in the city. Mrs John Kacey returned home after visiting relatives and friends in Memovilli and Rochester Pennsylvania.
