Thompson Selected for Empire Girls State at Albany
Linda Sue Thompson daughter of Mr and Mrs James Thompson of Clymer will represent the Clymer Damcott Jones Post 874 American Legion Auxiliary at the 28th Empire Girls State to be held June 2027 at the State University of New York at Albany. She is a junior editor of the school paper treasurer of the student council a member of the National Honor Society the Future Nurses Club chorus junior class play and junior bowling league. Mrs William J Moses is Girls State chairman for the event.

Portrait Show Opens Tomorrow In Warren
An exhibition titled A Show of Portraits by Elizabeth Schmitt McClain opens tomorrow at 7 30 p m at the Warren Art League Center. The show runs until May 18 with gallery hours 7 30 to 9 00 p m weekdays and weekends. McClain, raised in Ridgewood New Jersey, studied under Ralph Entwhistle and in Pittsburgh, later helping to establish the Warren Art Center.

Esther Circle meets at Flye home for church event
