Clinton County sportsmen appealed to the state supreme court after a lower court dismissed their suit to halt cutting of live timber in Cook Forest Park. Atty. William D. Hennings of Pittsburgh said he mailed the appeal yesterday.

Jamestown arrest for slashed tires linked to Fontana
Roger McIntyre, 59, of Falconer, was arrested on a charge of slashing a car tire owned by Anthony Fontana, 49. He is held on $100 bail awaiting City Court action. Fontana had earlier been arrested on McIntyre’s warrant for third degree assault. A separate item notes Mead Oil offering road oil products. In Venango County, George Hartle, 42, of Diamond, is jailed after admitting to passing $242.68 in worthless checks. he turned himself in after calling from Roosevelt.
