Corporations Pay Big Chunk Of Pa. Taxes

Pennsylvania relies heavily on corporate income taxes for state revenue, more than 10 other states surveyed. A private 140 page study by Bean League for the State Commerce Department notes the 12 percent rate, slated to drop to 11 percent on July 1 1972, and calls for further reductions to improve competitiveness. It adds state government has drawn more tax revenue since World War II, while local property taxes remain relatively light.
