Michael Johnson a former Peace Corps member and Corry school teacher spoke to Kiwanis at the Venture Inn about his service in West Cameroon after graduating from Thiel College in 1966. He detailed the corps aims, his two year assignment, and his teaching work. James Scheiner introduced him and committee members were named to organize a June golf match: Lyle Hotchkiss chair, with Robert Kubiak and Paul Campbell assisting.

The Phyllis Corbitt Circle of the First United Methodist Church met at Mrs. Robert Lindstrom's home with 10 members present. Devotions were led by Mrs. Charles Correll, and Mrs. Frank McKnight presided over the business session. Discussion thanked members for aiding family night dinner and breakfast during the missionary conference and urged attendance at the mother and daughter banquet on May 10. The program by Mrs. Irvin Young covered Red Bird Mission in Kentucky and Moses' mother. Desserts were served by the hostess and Mrs. Arthur Lindstrom. Next meeting at Mrs. Charles Correll's home.

Willis and spouse, wore silk organza with Edwardian lace and a silk illusion veil. The groom is the son of Lyle C. Smith and spouse and serves in the U S Marine Corps at New River. Reception for 400 followed. out-of-town guests attended from several Pennsylvania towns and New York. The couple plans a June Washington, D C trip and will reside in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
