Error in tabulation not in vote machine in Kane ward
Discrepancies in primary election totals in Kane Third Ward were traced to transcription errors rather than voting machine tabulation. Officials said miscopied cyphers at the end of totals inflated votes for Major Sueditey D. Butler and altered figures for Judge Joseph Stauttela and others. The Pennsylvania Railroad meanwhile announced 438 new industrial entrants along its line despite economic conditions.
