Corry High adapts to modernized curriculum trends
Corry Area High School adopts a middle road version of new math for seventh and eighth graders while planning courses for freshmen. A planetarium built with state aid expands astronomy basics for junior high students taught by Robert Olsen. Language offerings grow with four year courses in German or Spanish and Latin may be dropped if no teachers are found. A journalism class publishes The Beaver and a new speech elective includes drama and debating with a future daily radio program by speech students. Adult education remains limited and two popular classes in agricultural vocation and flying attract local interest.
