The October 16 death of Ray mond P. Helman at Polk State School and Hospital is under delay as a forensic psychiatrist from Pittsburgh, Dr. Herbert Thomas, is set to examine a resident who admitted killing Helman. The autopsy found asphyxiation by a strap tied to a bed rail.
Operetta Weeks in Bad Ischl runs July 15 to September 8 with nine performances of The Merry Widow, seven of Csárdás Princess, and two operetta concerts. A Biedermeier exhibition and historic pageant mark the spa town’s 150th anniversary since 1923 when Dr. Franz Wirer turned it into a watering place.
New York City Mayor John V. Lindsay will depart Wednesday night for a seven day official visit to the Soviet Union. In Moscow and Leningrad he will press for dialogue on Soviet Jewry with Russian officials and citizens. He will be joined by Seymour Graubard and Collette Schulman.

Public Defender Arrison seeks all statements grand jury testimony and physical evidence. District Attorney Sullivan noted certain items must stay confidential. The three defendants face three counts of murder and the hearing day remains unsettled.
Aardvark Associates co owner Ronald Nielson says the firm made an honest mistake after city council member James DiMaria raised complaints over missed pickups. The firm says it will cut non contract services to meet obligations, while DiMaria urges penalties for missed dates including a weekend Easter delay. A separate line notes the Feb 11 shooting deaths of Robert Hallett, his wife Grace and daughter Ann Marie in Town of Busti.
