Boy Killed in Kerosene Blast In Oil City
A 9 or 10 year old boy, grandson of Mrs J Davison, was killed when a barrel of kerosene exploded at a Sandy Creek farm between Sandy bake and Cochwantin. The Davison family, long residents of the area, had ties to the Basin Women’s Club cafeteria. Details remain scarce beyond the blast fatally injuring the child in Oil City on a Wednesday morning. In a separate note, the Salvation Army’s Adjutant Brunner will receive a Luk motor from the South Side Business Men’s Association to aid emergency work. The motor will be used in emergencies and Brunner will train to operate it.
