Car larceny case ties Powell Motor Go to grand jury
Powell Motor Go in North East Pa. faced a bound over to the Ashtabula county grand jury on auto larceny after Todd N Keller pleaded guilty before Municipal Judge William Shang. Keller was arrested in Bay Village Ohio while in possession of a car owned by Robert Graves. Bond set at $1000.

Sally Cool Dunkirk, 9, daughter of Mr and Mrs Bere Grimes of Cleveland, was brushed from her bicycle by a trailer truck on Route 20 yesterday while returning to her grandparents home in Sheridan after visiting a district school. She was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital with a head injury and brain concussion. Condition reported last night as not serious.

First boats leave Erie harbor to start 1945 Great Lakes season
Erie harbor opened Thursday as two steamers Thomas Walters and Steelton departed for Ashtabula with no cargo. The Ben Tate arrived and cleared for an inland port. Officials expect a record year with millions of tons of ore and considerable coal moved from the port to steel centers and cities by rail.
