Court Backs Bellefonte District in Dismissal Case

Commonwealth Court upheld Bellefonte Area School District in dismissing Judith A. Shive in 1972 after a staff member on leave posed for a photo with a sign "No contract, no work." The decision found no unfair labor practice by the school board and said the Labor Board relied on suspicion rather than proof.
