Pennsylvania mines secretary says two Barnes and Tucker Coal Co. officials face immediate criminal action for refusing to close an unsafe mine. A three-man commission recommended court action over violations of bituminous deep mine safety laws as three interconnecting mines including Lancashire 15 and 24D 24B were ordered closed after a federal inspector cited imminent danger from explosion and unsafe rock dosing and coal dust buildup along the shuttle car runway.
