State Liquor Control Board officers prepare to close all drinkeries in the city if disorder worsens during the strike at Corry Jamestown Manufacturing. Police authorities in Harrisburg reported state police intervention and readiness to compel closures to prevent further disturbances.

BEAVER FALLS March 27 A CIO picket drive forced suspension of operations at the Babcock and Wilcox Tube Company plant, which supplies materials for U S military forces and Britain. Plant Superintendent Luke Sawyer said the plant closed last night and remained shut after less than 200 picked passed dues picket lines and entered the plant on the I A M shift today. He said he notified the office of production management and the Navy of the shutdown.
