Fill Dirt Becomes School Art Under Fennell’s Clever Plan
Corry Area High School eighth graders sculpt unique figures from discarded sand molds supplied by Ajax Iron Works. Alvin Fennell rows in free materials from machine shop scraps, turning 30 pound lumps into art, with eye bolts becoming ears and iron rods shaping features. The project costs only gas for transport and could become the standout display at the upcoming art and science fair.
