Seaver Wants Trade To Dodgers Or Reds
Tom Seaver, after 10 seasons and 182 wins with the New York Mets, says he would welcome a trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers or Cincinnati Reds. The 32-year-old ace would retain veto power over any move, but he would accept joining either NL West club. He mentions a rumored three-team swap that would have sent him to the Dodgers, Don Sutton to Boston, and Jim Rice to the Mets, a deal that collapsed on Mets reconsideration.
