UC Boat Firm Production, Sales Up
UNTON CITY W F Pear son vice president and general manager of MFG Boat Co Union City reported yesterday that new orders in the first three weeks of March call for 7 per cent more boats and revenues up 46 per cent over March 1941. He said year to date sales are 18 per cent higher in units and 1 per cent higher in dollars. The firm, largest fiberglass boat maker, is expanding payroll and has purchased three new diesel tractor trailer units to meet dealer deliveries. The Union City plant is a major division of Molded Fiber Glass Body Co of Ashtabula Ohio, which in 1964 acquired Crestliner Anchi Sailboats and Custom Craft.
