H P Stranahan of Spartansburg reports 1 700 pairs have been put out of the Stranahan camp but the first run yielded only 74 barrels of sap. Producers doubt the total season yield as warm weather could shorten the season. It generally takes 3 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.
