Former Corry Resident Dies Suddenly in Erie

Word came of the sudden death in Erie of Martin L. Weed husband of Katherine Weed and son in law of Ralph Ely. A former Corry resident, Weed had worked for the wholesale grocery firm Dawsey Bros and later for the Consolidated Map Company in Erie. He died after a brief illness during a hospital visit for a minor procedure. Interment is set for Pine Grove Cemetery after a 2:00 p.m. Saturday arrival of remains. He is survived by his widow, his parents Frank and Mrs. Wood of Corry, a brother William of Erie, and sisters Mrs. B W Amy of Clymer and Miss Jennie Wood of Corry.

Post Office Blast at East Aurora Reported

United Press reports an explosion blew the East Aurora post office early this morning. A large stash of money and stamps was apparently stolen. Witnesses say four men were seen fleeing the vicinity shortly after the blast.

Two Inmates Die by Mercury Poisoning at Morganza

Washington Pa March 25 two 19 year old inmates Margaret Burger of McKeonport and Mary Coyle of Henleyville died at the Pennsylvania State Industrial School at Morganza from mercury chloride poisoning. They obtained the poison from a medicine locker in their room and offered no reason for their actions. Mr and Mrs Will Finke of Anjon City attend the funeral of the girl, Gurnga Allan.
